For many Canadians a cup of coffee is a part of their morning routine. There’s evidence of coffee dating back as long ago as the 15th century. In that time many new methods and devices has been produced to brew the perfect cup of joe.
The variety offered by coffee brewing devices spans from the manual (e.g. the AeroPress or French Press), to machines that will automatically grind and brew your coffee with the push of a button. Manual presses may give greater direct control of the brewing process, therefore requiring more attention and involvement. Conversely, a fully integrated machines may be very convenient, but require more maintenance and likely have more components that may break.
Many coffee connoisseurs would argue a manual press gives better control over water temperature and brewing style/time, and therefore it is the best way to craft your perfect personal cup. For others, the simplicity of letting your coffee machine take care of the process is more desirable, especially for those on the go.
